April 14

Kiwi is just starting to leaf out.

A photo of a plant that looks more like a dead stick
Unfortunately a late frost hit my plants and really did a number on the male kiwi.
A photo of one tiny little leaf growing off aforementioned dead stick
It's still alive, though, thank god.

A photo of a hardy kiwi plant that looks a little out of control
The Ken's Red took a bit of damage initially but seems unfazed.
A photo of several huge clumps of unripe blueberries
Not only did the blueberry survive, it is absolutely covered in berries. There's more berries than leaves!
Similar to last year, I have two rows of Shepard peppers and eggplant to the left, and two rows of radishes to the right in my plot. I was going to plant carrots but forgot to buy seeds oops.
Last year's apricot is still alive and has grown 2 new branches.
I was also able to grow another apricot from seed over the winter which is also doing well.
Apart from last year's plants, I have a few new additions. This is a Cupid sour cherry.
A Jeanne gooseberry, though I kind of doubt that's the actual cultivar because it's not usually this thorny :(.
A mulberry I bought at a plant sale. I'm assuming it's going to be a full-size white mulberry because there was very little information. It might not even fruit, so we'll see.
A calamodin orange tree I bought from the grocery store and that had a bad mite infestation that showed up the moment I got it home. I got that cleared up and now its only fruit is starting to ripen :)
